Refunds and Returns
• We are not required to provide a replacement or refund if you simply change your mind.
• We will exchange an item if it is significantly different from the sample or description.
• This returns policy does not apply to goods which have been worn or used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. We recommend that you return the product via Registered post and that you pre pay all postage.
• Please contact us if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problem.
• You assume any risk of lost, stolen or damaged goods during transit; we therefore advise you take out shipment registration and insurance with your postal carrier. Fremantle Opals will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.
• Please keep your proof of purchase – eg. Your shop receipt
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In conjunction with your consumer rights the following warranties and conditions apply:
12 month manufacturing warranty from date of purchase
This warranty is not valid where the item has been misused, damaged (intentional or unintentional, including but not limited to knocks, scratches, and pulled claws), if care instructions have not been followed, or if repairs or alterations have been made by jewellers other than those authorised by Fremantle Opals. Claw set jewellery must be checked every six months by a jeweller or in-store by Fremantle Opals.
You must request a warranty claim to us by in-store, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, with your receipt or proof of purchase attached.
Await authorisation before returning the item(s).
Once your warranty claim is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your claim. Approval or rejection of a warranty claim is at the absolute discretion of Fremantle Opals.
Fremantle Opals will repair or replace the item in question within a reasonable time, or in the event that a repair or replacement is not possible, a refund will be granted.
Authorised returns will be provided a return address.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
All pendants come with a free chain which is either silver or gold plated. We recommend that customers transfer their pendants to their own chains, as our chains are not recommended for long term use.
Shipping and Delivery
After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering.
All shipments are dispatched using Australia Posts.
Items are shipped within 24 to 48 hours of payment being received.
Within Australia, shipping cost is AU$15.00 Trackable
Overseas shipping cost is AU$40.00 Trackable
For items over AU$1000.00 we use FedEx with rates and insurance costs to be advised.
We will attempt to send your goods via Australia Post within two (2) working days.
